Genesis has assembled a capable team comprised of members with diverse areas of expertise and clearly defined responsibilities within each phase of the process Genesis employs to bring about successful transactions for its clients.

As Founder and President of Genesis Business Group, Darin Phillips directs the overall efforts of the Genesis Team in the process of completing each transaction.  While specific roles may be assigned to each team member, Darin takes a hands-on approach to every deal.  With an MBA from Samford University and 12 years in business management and mergers/acquisition experience, Darin carefully monitors each deal and assists the team and the client through the process toward a successful close.

A significant portion of the credit for the momentum Genesis has captured goes to Paul and his ability to clearly define a marketing process that attracts solid clients and connects them with qualified buyers.  Paul currently owns several successful marketing companies and serves as a key advisor to the principal of a large commercial real estate investment firm.

Joel performs the financial and business analysis and fills a key role in the packaging of each deal.  As a Certified Management Accountant and Certified Financial Manager, along with significant experience at the CFO level for small and emerging companies, Joel performs the initial assessment and creates the Offering Memorandum for each client of the firm.  He is also active in the dissemination of information to prospective buyers and facilitates the due diligence and closing processes once a buyer is identified and under contract.

Ed is a retired U.S. Air Force officer with 37 years experience in the field of healthcare.  In addition to running the Genesis office on a daily basis, Ed is actively involved in advertising the firm’s offerings through our existing buyer/investor networks.  He also facilitates the initial buyer contact in which he verifies the credibility and financial capability of each prospective buyer.  This initial qualifying process is essential to ensuring that Genesis insulates its clients from “tire kickers” and engages only serious and capable buyers.

John has over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry.  He has worked for Bank of America, Compass Bank and held key roles with Northwestern Mutual and The Hartford.  His background in management and financial products sales has been a tremendous asset to the firm.  John plays a key role in the strategic, targeted marketing of every deal the firm accepts.  Rather than mere passive listings of our offerings on Internet “businesses for sale” sites, John devotes his time to researching and contacting active, qualified buyers for each client of the firm.
